Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will marry at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, in May, Kensington Palace says.

The Royal Family will pay for the wedding, including the service, music, flowers and reception - the date will be announced later.

Ms Markle, 36, a Protestant, will be baptised into the Church of England and confirmed before the wedding.

A spokesman for the prince said the pair would make sure the wedding "reflects who they are as a couple".

Jason Knauf said Prince Harry, 33, and Ms Markle were "leading the planning process for all aspects of the wedding" and were working through ideas on how members of the public could "feel part of the celebrations".

"This wedding, like all weddings, will be a moment of fun and joy that will reflect the characters of the bride and groom," he added.

Mr Knauf described Windsor as a "very special place" for the couple, saying they had spent time there together since meeting in July 2016.

He also revealed that the American actress intends to become a British citizen and will work towards it in the coming years.

St George's Chapel was the venue for a service of prayer and dedication after Harry's father, the Prince of Wales, married the Duchess of Cornwall at the Windsor Guildhall in 2005.

It was also chosen for the wedding of Harry's cousin, Peter Phillips, and Autumn Kelly in 2008, and the Earl and Countess of Wessex in 1999.

BBC royal correspondent Daniela Relph said St George's Chapel held many happy childhood memories for Prince Harry, and while a more intimate venue than Westminster Abbey or St Paul's Cathedral, was grand enough for royal wedding.

Harry, who is fifth in line to the throne, and Ms Markle announced their engagement on Monday.

Mr Knauf said it was "an incredibly happy day" for the couple and they were "overwhelmed by support from the UK and around the world".

Bogart left behind

Their 16-month relationship began when they met on a blind date in London arranged by a mutual friend.

The couple gave their first joint TV interview to the BBC's Mishal Husain on Monday - revealing the proposal came as they made roast chicken at home earlier this month.

They also discussed Ms Markle's pet dogs and Mr Knauf revealed that while one of them, Guy, was legally allowed to stay with her in the UK, the other, Bogart, would not be joining her.

The prince and Ms Markle will carry out their first official engagement together in Nottingham on Friday.

They will go on a walkabout and visit the Nottingham Contemporary which is hosting a Terrence Higgins Trust World Aids Day charity fair, and Nottingham Academy to meet head teachers.

Their spokesman said Ms Markle would not be continuing her work on gender with the United Nations or with other organisations, and instead would start new charity work as a full-time royal.

She is to become the fourth patron of the Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry.

Speaking during a visit to the Foundling Museum in London on Tuesday, the Duchess of Cambridge said both she and Prince William hoped the couple "enjoy this happy moment".

An intimate and private venue

St George's Chapel is shrouded in darkness tonight, the 15th Century gothic building shielded by the walls of Windsor Castle.

However, on a cold and dark night, there is a real atmosphere of warmth and light in Windsor with the knowledge this town will be the centre of the world in six months' time.

A shop worker (whose tills will surely be ringing relentlessly in the build up to the big day) said the day would be like a "fairytale" for Windsor and the country as a whole.

A woman called Elaine, who used to volunteer in the chapel for a number of years, said St George's offered a much more intimate experience for an occasion like this.

"We just think of ourselves as really lucky," she said. "It's going to be an incredible atmosphere on the day."

The couple announced plans for a spring wedding on Monday, but by choosing May, have avoided a potential clash with the birth of the Duchess of Cambridge's third child and the Queen's appearance at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in London and Windsor - both of which are in April.

Downing Street has said there are no plans for a bank holiday to mark the wedding, after the possibility was mooted on social media.

Ms Markle was previously married, but the Church of England agreed in 2002 that divorced people would be allowed to remarry in church.

日本防衛省指出，北韓這次發射的彈道飛彈，推定高度遠超過4000公里，據信是採高角度的高飛軌道發射。防衛省認為，那是最大射程超過5500公里的洲際彈道飛彈。

日本放送協會（NHK）報導，防衛大臣小野寺五典於清晨約5時宣布，凌晨3時18分左右，北韓自西岸朝日本海發射一枚彈道飛彈，高度約達4000公里，飛行53分鐘後，推定落入日本海的日本專屬經濟海域內。

小野寺五典表示，目前未確認到附近航行船舶或飛機等受害資訊。北韓這次採「高飛軌道」（LoftedTrajectory）發射飛彈，推定是洲際彈道飛彈級（ICBM）飛彈。

北韓於今年7月28日發射「火星14型」新型彈道飛彈時也採高飛軌道發射，當時飛行高度遠超過3500公里，這次發射的高度則凌駕那次，是截至目前獲確認的最高高度。

　　十九大以來，各地發展住房租賃市場動作頻頻。記者調研發現，增加租賃供給、搭建官方租賃平臺成為當前租賃市場新趨勢。自國家提出建立“租售並舉”住房制度以來，租賃市場迎來發展機遇，租戶選擇日益多元。業內人士及專家表示，還需進一步調整供地結構，加快住房租賃制度體係建設。

　　據中原地産不完全統計，全國發布租賃新政策的城市已超50個。十九大以來，租賃政策力度更是空前。記者梳理發現，當前租賃政策主要呈現出三大新動向。

　　一是多途徑增加租賃用地。近段時間來，上海、廣州、深圳、杭州、鄭州城市陸續開啟“只租不售”賣地模式，絕大部分地塊由國有企業“零溢價率”拍得。

　　二是官方版租賃平臺紛紛上線。繼今年9月杭州與阿裏巴巴合作建立的住房租賃監管服務平臺上線後，廣州、北京、武漢等政府住房租賃交易服務平臺近期相繼面世。

　　各地探索從源頭入手降成本，“多渠道保障”租賃房土地供應已給市場帶來正面效應。位于世博後灘地區的上海“租賃住房”項目，周圍知名總部聚集，該項目總面積約4.92萬平方米，容積率為3.0，競得價為11.28億元，樓面價約為每平方米7700元。安居客首席分析師張波表示，世博“租賃住房”項目分建設成本和運營成本，一般土地費用佔房價的50%以上，再加上其他費用，世博“租賃住房”的建設成本約2萬每平方米。按目前世博地區周邊住宅相同的租金回報率，該項目80平方米的兩居只需每月2000元左右。

　　位于北京東五環的平房鄉公租房項目共有9棟住宅，社區房源共計2508套，最大65平方米，最小35平方米。社區附近有即將開通的地鐵3號線，可直達CBD區域，交通便捷。項目建設責任方北京鴻科鑫宇公司董事長陳學東介紹，根據項目周邊及朝陽區租金指導價格，該項目預計租金約為40元每平方米每月，即65平方米二居的每月租金約為2560元，而鏈家網顯示該項目附近一套57平方米商品房每月租金為3500元。

　　當前，租賃市場的變化正在逐漸影響業主和租客的心態。上海房屋租賃指數辦公室調查發現，上海住房租賃市場開始呈現分化。部分區域的待租房源明顯高于新增需求，不少傳統民房降價續約，而中高端需求則轉移至長租公寓。隨著樓市調控加碼，熱點城市二手房市場遇冷，一定程度上也促使不少業主暫時放棄置換或賣出房屋，由售轉租，增加租賃房源供應。住在上海柚米國際社區的自由投資人張君朝説：“住在長租公寓裏，不僅可以享有嚴格的安保係統、專職管家、保潔、家居維護、代收快遞等服務，還有定期的休閒娛樂文化活動等。這是傳統租賃民宅做不到的。”

　　業內人士表示，從租賃金融起步，到增加租賃用地供給，再到推出官方租賃平臺，國家租賃市場“補短板”力度空前，後續發展還需要從三方面著力。

　　一是調整城市供地結構，盤活存量用地。記者採訪了解到，與當前住宅用地規模相比，租賃用地佔比極低，一些城市推出純租賃用地不過出于“講政治”的需要，其內在積極性還有待提高。中央財經大學城市與房地産管理係王志鋒教授表示，目前國內城市中工業用地比重偏大，而居住用地的比重偏低，特別是保障房用地。建議在城市建設用地供給規劃時，應調整用地結構比例，增加住宅用地面積，保證保障房、租賃住房用地，對于工業商業相對過剩的區域或者利用率較低的閒置土地，可以重新統籌土地的性質與功能。北京工業大學社會學係教授李君甫認為，集體土地開發成本低、周期快，租金定價優勢明顯，而且土地面積可觀，在政府有序引導下可以持續加快供應。

　　二是加快住房租賃法律制度體係建設。實際上，建設官方租賃平臺，規范租賃市場，只是我國住房制度改革中的一步。中國指數研究院研究報告認為，長遠來看，租房平臺、市場主體等僅涉及到發展租賃市場的執行和效率部分，在更深的保障居民的居住權利和公共權利層面，還有賴國家相關住房法和租賃法的出臺。中國社科院城市與競爭力研究中心主任倪鵬飛認為，促進房地産穩定健康發展，未來要在調整住房發展內涵和住房發展定位的基礎上，推動住房法的制定和出臺，推進住房政策的法制化。（記者董建國周強鄭鈞天福州廣州報道）

Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump on Tuesday forged significant progress in his quest to cajole Republican senators into passing a sweeping tax reform bill -- but even as he picked up several crucial votes, he was pitched suddenly into a new international crisis by North Korea's missile launch.

Trump succeeded in winning over holdout senators who had raised doubts about the tax legislation. But his attempts to choreograph a way out of a funding crunch that could soon close down the government hit a roadblock as top Democratic leaders boycotted a White House meeting after he had predicted in a tweet that there was no deal to be done.

A day of political drama underscored the intense year-end maneuvering as Trump and Republicans chase long-awaited political victories after a tumultuous 10 months since his inauguration and Democrats seek to leverage their own top issues. It also showed how grave challenges abroad can rock Washington and quickly put the bitter squabbles on Capitol Hill into a new perspective.

Schumer and Pelosi ditch Trump meeting

With the fate of the tax bill in the balance, Trump addressed a closed-door meeting of Republican senators, urging them to unite to secure a political win that would finally deliver on the GOP's monopoly on power and at last give him a genuine major legislative victory.

He later described the meeting as a "love fest" and said the caucus was united.

"I think it's going to pass and it's going to be very popular," Trump said.

Moments after he left the Capitol, two key Republican senators on the Budget Committee, Ron Johnson of Wisconsin and Bob Corker of Tennessee, who had been holding out for more concessions to meet their different concerns about the measure, told CNN they would vote for it.

A short time later, the panel passed the tax measure via party line, 12-11, sending the package to the Senate floor. Republican leaders hope to hold a vote on final passage later this week.

The bill permanently slashes corporate tax rates and temporarily reduces many individual tax rates, but Democrats charge that it does little to help working and middle class voters in the long term and represents a huge giveaway to Trump's rich friends.

But the fate of the bill is not assured. First it must find a way through the narrowly divided Senate, then emerge from what could be a delicate process to reconcile it with an already passed House version.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell expressed optimism the bill would pass in the next few days but admitted that putting together the winning majority on such a "big, complicated" bill was challenging.

"Think of sitting there with a Rubik's Cube, trying to get to 50," McConnell said.

Schumer tried to stoke Republican jitters that the tax bill could turn out to be a long-term political liability by warning that massive legislation passed in haste rarely worked out well for the American people.

"Let it sit out there in the sun ... and let it bake," he said, demanding more time for Americans to understand the implications of the proposal.

Poor Americans would lose billions of dollars in federal benefits under the proposal, according to the CBO report, largely because the measure eliminates the mandate forcing most Americans to get health insurance.

Trump, an inexperienced politician, has often been as much a hindrance as a help to Republican leaders as they steer major legislation. But there were clear signs that he had played a decisive role in Tuesday's meetings.

Sources told CNN that the President had an extended back-and-forth with Johnson during the luncheon. And South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham told reporters that Trump went out of his way to address concerns of another wavering senator, Maine's Susan Collins, saying he would back a deal on paying Obamacare subsidies and an expanded a property tax deduction under the tax reform measure in return for her vote.

"Her two big concerns the President agreed to. Which I think is progress," Graham said.
